Furnished Extended Stays in Los Angeles
Some stays are too long for a hotel and too short to buy a house. A relocation, a renovation, a season of treatment, a sabbatical, a film, a divorce, a year to try the city before committing to it. Villoura keeps a portfolio of private Los Angeles homes furnished and ready for exactly that — thirty nights, six months, a year.
Coming to Los Angeles for treatment? Start with our guide to where to stay near Cedars-Sinai.

The stays we are built for
Relocation
The months between arriving and buying. Live in the neighborhood before you commit to it — try the schools, the commute, the Sunday morning — instead of choosing a house from photographs.
Renovation and rebuild
Work always takes longer than the estimate. A furnished house nearby keeps a family in its own routine, in the same school run, rather than camped in a hotel for a season.
Medical stays
Treatment near Cedars-Sinai, UCLA Health or the Beverly Hills surgical corridor, where privacy and quiet count for more than amenities, and family need somewhere to be together.
A season in the city
Sabbaticals, writing projects, a winter out of a colder country, grandparents close to new grandchildren. The stays that have nothing to do with work.
Between homes
Sales that close early, purchases that close late, and the gap in between — which is rarely as short as anyone plans for.
Family and long visits
Multi-generational stays where everyone wants to be together but nobody wants to share a bathroom.
Where to base yourself
For a month or more, choose by daily life rather than by view. Where will you buy coffee, where do the children go, how long is the drive you will make five times a week?
| Neighborhood | Suits |
|---|---|
| Brentwood & Pacific Palisades | Families. Quiet streets, strong schools, a short run to the coast and to UCLA. |
| Beverly Hills & Holmby Hills | The centre of the map. Closest to Cedars-Sinai, Century City and everything else worth reaching. |
| Santa Monica & Venice | Walkable, coastal, and the easiest part of Los Angeles to live in without a car all day. |
| Studio City, Sherman Oaks & Encino | More house for the money — flat lots, pools, guest quarters — with the studios ten minutes away. |
| Malibu | A long stay that is meant to feel like a change of life rather than a change of address. |

What is included
Furniture, linens, towels and a working kitchen. Utilities, high-speed internet and scheduled housekeeping in the rate. Parking on site. A named contact who answers within fifteen minutes, seven days a week — not a call centre.
Our concierge team covers the rest of settling in: a stocked fridge before you land, a private chef when you would rather not cook, chauffeured cars, gym equipment brought in, school introductions, medical appointment logistics, and the restaurant reservation that is otherwise impossible.
Why thirty nights matters. Inside the City of Los Angeles, stays under thirty nights fall under the Home-Sharing Ordinance and are limited to a host’s registered primary residence. At thirty nights and beyond, a much wider and better set of homes becomes lawfully available to you — which is precisely why the extended-stay market looks so different from the weekend one. Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Santa Monica each set their own rules; we will tell you which residences are legitimately available for your dates before you fall in love with one.
Tell us the dates and who is coming
How long, how many bedrooms, which part of town, and anything that has to be right — a dog, a ground-floor bedroom, a proper desk, a pool. We will send a shortlist worth looking at.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as an extended stay?
Anything from thirty nights upward. Most of our extended-stay guests book one to six months; some stay a year. Below thirty nights we can still help — that is a short stay, and different rules and rates apply.
Is it furnished, or do I bring things?
Fully furnished and ready. Beds made, kitchen equipped, utilities and internet on, towels in the bathrooms. You arrive with suitcases. If you want to bring your own bedding, art or a piano, we will make room.
Can I bring my dog?
Usually, yes. A good number of our residences are pet-friendly and several have gardens built for it. Tell us at enquiry and we will only show you homes that work.
What if my plans change and I need longer?
Extensions are normal and we plan for them. Tell us as early as you can and we will hold the house; if the dates are genuinely unavailable we will move you to something comparable in the same neighborhood rather than leave you to solve it.
How is this different from a hotel or a serviced apartment?
Space, privacy and a kitchen you would actually cook in. For a month or more, a suite starts to feel small and a serviced apartment starts to feel anonymous. A house with a garden, a pool and a front door of your own is a different way to live in a city.
Do you handle stays for medical treatment?
Yes. We place patients and families near Cedars-Sinai, UCLA Health and the Beverly Hills surgical corridor, and we understand that quiet, privacy, a ground-floor bedroom or a short drive matter more than a view. Tell us what you need and we will match it discreetly.
