Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium: Where to Stay in Los Angeles for February 14, 2027

By Villoura Editorial September 23, 2026 12 min read

Super Bowl LXI will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Sunday, February 14, 2027, and the best place to stay for it is not Inglewood. It is one of four Los Angeles zones, the beach cities and Marina del Rey, Culver City and the Westside, Beverly Hills and Bel Air, or the Hollywood Hills, chosen by how you intend to spend the week, and booked either as a licensed short stay of three to ten nights or as a 30-night residence that absorbs the whole month. Here is how the week will run, what the last Los Angeles Super Bowl taught about pricing, and where a private house makes more sense than a hotel block.

The Los Angeles basin and Downtown skyline at sunset, seen from the hills
Super Bowl week spreads across the whole basin: a downtown fan zone, an Inglewood game day, evenings on the Westside and in Hollywood.

What is confirmed about Super Bowl LXI, and what is not

The confirmed facts come from the NFL’s February 9, 2026 announcement and the Los Angeles Super Bowl LXI Host Committee. The game is at SoFi Stadium, 1001 South Stadium Drive, Inglewood, inside the 300-acre Hollywood Park district owned by Rams chairman E. Stanley Kroenke. It is the second Super Bowl at SoFi in five years, following Super Bowl LVI in February 2022, when the Rams won on their own field, and the ninth in the greater Los Angeles region, sixty years after the first Super Bowl at the Coliseum. ESPN and ABC carry the broadcast, ESPN’s first Super Bowl and ABC’s first since 2006. Kickoff on a Sunday that is also Valentine’s Day, on Presidents’ Day weekend, which means Monday, February 15 is a federal holiday and the return flights are worse than usual.

The Host Committee has already placed one dated event on the calendar: a Sports Media Summit presented by YouTube at SoFi Stadium on Friday, February 12, 2027. LA Metro is the official public transit provider, and the Committee’s “For the Love of the Game” legacy program is distributing grants to youth flag-football organizations through the autumn of 2026.

What is not yet public, as of late September 2026: the halftime performer, the public ticket process, the locations of the Super Bowl Experience fan festival and NFL Honors, and the NFL’s official hotel program. The 2022 precedent is the best guide to how the week will lay out, and it is worth reading closely, because the geography of Super Bowl week in Los Angeles is not the geography of the stadium.

How the week will actually move across the city

In 2022 the Super Bowl Experience ran at the Los Angeles Convention Center downtown for eight days before the game. NFL Honors was staged at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park, next to the stadium, on the Thursday. The Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest took over Crypto.com Arena for three nights. The brand and celebrity parties scattered where they always do: West Hollywood (the Pacific Design Center, TAO on Selma), Beverly Hills (Tatel on Cañon Drive), Hollywood (Avalon, Academy LA), the Shrine near USC, and a Tailgate Tour on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade. The Hollywood Reporter’s running list from that week is the clearest map of what “Super Bowl in LA” means for a guest who is not sitting in a suite: a downtown fan zone, an Inglewood game day, and evenings that pull toward the Westside and Hollywood.

In 2022 the fan festival was downtown, NFL Honors at Hollywood Park and the parties in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Expect 2027 to rhyme.

Expect 2027 to rhyme. Wikipedia’s page for the game already records that pre-game programming will broadcast from Santa Monica State Beach, and the Host Committee’s own materials route visitors to Discover Los Angeles for the wider city rather than to Inglewood. Add the fact that the Grammy Awards fall on Sunday, February 7, 2027, one week before kickoff and traditionally at Crypto.com Arena, and the eight days between the two Sundays become the busiest single week of the Los Angeles year. If your group includes anyone attending both, book from the Friday before the Grammys to the Monday after the Super Bowl, ten nights, or take a 30-night residence from mid-January and let the month carry the Genesis Invitational at Riviera (February 18–21) and Frieze Los Angeles (February 25–28) as well.

Getting to SoFi on game day

SoFi Stadium sits three miles east of LAX, off the 405 at Manchester Boulevard, with Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum as neighbors. For a stadium of its scale, the transit story is modest. The automated people mover that was meant to link the Metro K Line to Hollywood Park stalled in 2025 after opposition from the Rams and Clippers ownership, and Inglewood has pivoted to a rephased plan of mobility hubs on Market Street, bus-only lanes on Hawthorne, La Brea and Arbor Vitae, and park-and-ride shuttles, with construction running through 2028. On NFL game days, Metro’s published route is the C or K Line to the LAX/Metro Transit Center station, then a free shuttle from Bus Bay 8, running every three to five minutes from three hours before kickoff. Rideshare drop-off is on Kareem Court via Pincay Drive; pick-up is on Kareem Court and Manchester Boulevard. Parking is pre-sold by colored zone and opens four to five hours before kickoff.

Planning a luxury California stay?

Skip the guesswork. Villoura specialists match you to the right villa and handle every detail, a real person replies in minutes.

For a villa guest the practical answer is a chauffeured car with a pre-purchased parking pass and a driver who knows the Prairie Avenue and Century Boulevard approaches, or the shuttle from the transit center if the house is in Westchester or Playa del Rey and nobody wants to sit in a car on the 405. On Super Bowl Sunday the NFL’s security perimeter closes streets around Hollywood Park well before kickoff; the driver’s job is to know that morning’s map, and that is something Villoura’s concierge arranges rather than leaves to the guest.

The four zones, and who belongs in each

The beach cities and Marina del Rey: closest without being in Inglewood

Manhattan Beach, Playa del Rey, Marina del Rey and Playa Vista sit five to nine miles from the stadium, mostly on surface streets or a short run up the 405. This is the zone for a group whose week is the game, a family, a corporate box holder with clients, a group of friends who want the ocean on the days they are not at Hollywood Park. The houses are walk-street and hillside homes in Manhattan Beach, marina-front residences in Marina del Rey, and the newer Playa Vista neighborhood next to the Silicon Beach campuses. The trade is nightlife: dinner is excellent (Manhattan Beach has a serious restaurant row), but the Super Bowl parties are twelve miles north.

Culver City and the Westside: the sensible middle

Culver City, Mar Vista, Cheviot Hills and Brentwood are the geographic middle of the week: roughly five to ten miles from SoFi, ten to fifteen minutes from the West Hollywood and Beverly Hills party circuit outside of rush hour, and next to the Culver City studio lots where a lot of the brand activations are staged. Brentwood is where Villoura’s executive guests tend to settle for longer stays, and it works as well for a Super Bowl month as for an assignment: gated, quiet, close to the 405 in both directions. Read our guide to where executives actually stay in Los Angeles for 30-, 60- and 90-day assignments if the trip is company-paid, because the same neighborhood logic applies.

Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Holmby Hills: the estate week

This is where the sponsor houses, the hospitality residences and the very large family groups land, and the reason is capacity rather than distance. The stadium is ten to twelve miles away, forty minutes on a bad afternoon, but the estate has the pool deck for a watch party of sixty, the motor court for a fleet of cars, the staff quarters for a chef and a security detail, and the privacy that a hotel presidential suite cannot offer. One caution that changed in 2025: the City of Beverly Hills now requires a one-year minimum on residential rentals, so inside the city limits the answer for a week is a hotel. Bel Air, Holmby Hills, Beverly Crest and the Beverly Hills Post Office area are City of Los Angeles, and that is where the estates for a Super Bowl week come from. Villoura’s Bel Air residences and Holmby Hills residences are the relevant pages.

The Hollywood Hills and West Hollywood: the party week

If the trip is about the week rather than the game, the brand dinners, the label parties, the Grammy after-parties the Sunday before, the Hollywood Hills put you above Sunset Boulevard and ten minutes from every room that matters. The stadium is the far end of the trip here, fourteen miles and the full length of La Cienega or the 405, so plan on a driver and a departure three hours before kickoff. West Hollywood itself prohibits unhosted stays under 31 nights, so the short-stay houses are in the Hollywood Hills on the Los Angeles side of the line; a 30-night residence in West Hollywood proper is a different, legal, and often better answer for a group that also wants the Grammys. Our Hollywood Hills and West Hollywood guide covers the streets.

What the 2022 game did to prices, and what to expect in 2027

The last Los Angeles Super Bowl generated somewhere between $234 million and $477 million in economic output, depending on whose study you read; the Host Committee cites the upper figure. AirDNA’s count, reported by Spectrum News in the week of the game, put more than 8,200 short-term rentals booked across Los Angeles for Super Bowl LVI at an average nightly rate of $316, against a hotel average of $445 per Smith Travel Research. Inglewood itself had 371 units booked at $336 a night. One 2,500-square-foot house in Inglewood rented for more than $10,000 for the weekend.

Those are aggregate figures and they describe apartments and three-bedroom houses. At the top of the market the pattern in every Super Bowl city is the same: estate-scale homes with pools, screening rooms and staff quarters are taken by sponsors and hospitality agencies six to nine months out, and what remains in January is priced accordingly. Our guide to luxury event rentals in Los Angeles covers how event weeks are priced; the short version for Super Bowl LXI is that a residence booked in autumn 2026 at a 30-night rate will usually cost less per night than the same house booked for four nights in February, and it comes with the month.

Three nights or thirty: the rule that decides where you can stay

Los Angeles regulates stays under 30 nights through its Home-Sharing Ordinance: a host may only offer a primary residence, registered with the city, and unhosted nights are capped at 120 a year unless the host holds an extended home-sharing permit. Stays of 30 nights and longer fall outside the ordinance entirely, which is why the month-long residence is the standard product for a brand house or a family that wants a Bel Air estate. Through 2026 the City Council has debated a temporary ordinance that would let second homes operate as vacation rentals through the end of 2028, expressly to cover the World Cup, this Super Bowl and the Olympics; as of this writing it has not become law, and our explainer on how Los Angeles may loosen short-term rental rules for 2028 tracks it.

The practical consequence for a guest: ask the specialist which residences are licensed for a week and which are 30-night homes before falling in love with a listing. Villoura’s inventory includes both, and the honest answer for a Super Bowl group of ten is often a 30-night booking from mid-January that nobody minds using, the same calculus we set out for the 2028 Games on our LA28 accommodation page, where the three booking modes are the ticket-block stay, the full Games and the estate block. The same three modes apply to a Super Bowl, compressed into a month.

For owners: the third of three windows

Los Angeles has three global events in twenty-six months, the World Cup in the summer of 2026, Super Bowl LXI in February 2027, and the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the summer of 2028, and a home that is set up for the first two is set up for the third. The February window is short: the sponsor and hospitality demand concentrates in the ten days around the game, and a house that is furnished, staffed and legally structured as a 30-night residence can carry a January-to-February booking at a rate a normal winter would not support. Owners on the Westside, in Bel Air and in the Hollywood Hills who want a realistic estimate for the month should talk to Villoura about listing the home now rather than in January; our note on short-term rental revenue during major Los Angeles events sets out how event weeks are priced and staffed.

How Villoura sets up a Super Bowl week

A Super Bowl week in a private house needs five things a hotel does not: a driver who holds the parking pass and knows the Hollywood Park perimeter that morning, a chef for the Sunday, a plan for the watch party if half the group has no ticket, a route to the Grammy week and the brand dinners on the other side of town, and a residence that is legal for the dates. Villoura’s specialists handle the house and the concierge team handles the rest, chauffeured cars, private chefs, security details and the restaurant reservations that vanish the week the NFL comes to town. Tell us the group, the dates and which of the four zones sounds like your week, and a villa specialist will reply within the hour.

Frequently asked questions

When and where is Super Bowl LXI?
Super Bowl LXI is on Sunday, February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium, 1001 South Stadium Drive, Inglewood, California, Valentine’s Day and Presidents’ Day weekend. It is the second Super Bowl at SoFi after Super Bowl LVI in 2022 and will be broadcast by ESPN and ABC.

Where is the best area to stay for the Super Bowl in Los Angeles?
It depends on the week you want. Manhattan Beach, Marina del Rey and Playa Vista are closest to the stadium; Culver City and Brentwood are the sensible middle; Bel Air and Holmby Hills suit estate-scale groups and sponsor houses; the Hollywood Hills put you next to the parties and the Grammys the Sunday before. Inglewood itself has limited private-house inventory.

Can I rent a house in Los Angeles for just Super Bowl weekend?
Yes, where the residence is registered under the city’s Home-Sharing Ordinance for stays under 30 nights, or is in a jurisdiction that permits short stays. Many estates in Bel Air and the Hollywood Hills are offered as 30-night residences instead, which is how brands and large families typically book the game. Ask which category a house falls into before booking.

How do I get to SoFi Stadium on game day?
By chauffeured car with a pre-purchased parking pass, by rideshare to Kareem Court, or by Metro’s C or K Line to the LAX/Metro Transit Center station and the free game-day shuttle from Bus Bay 8. The planned people mover from the K Line to the stadium is not being built before the game.

How much do rentals cost during the Super Bowl in Los Angeles?
For Super Bowl LVI in 2022, AirDNA counted 8,200+ short-term rentals booked at an average of $316 a night, with hotels averaging $445 and one Inglewood house renting for more than $10,000 for the weekend. Estate-scale residences are priced individually and are typically taken by sponsors and hospitality agencies months in advance.

Are the Grammys the same week as the Super Bowl in 2027?
The 69th Grammy Awards are scheduled for Sunday, February 7, 2027, one week before Super Bowl LXI. A ten-night stay from February 5 to 15 covers both; a 30-night residence from mid-January covers both plus the Genesis Invitational and Frieze Los Angeles later in February.
